After Lasik operation
After the operation you will be given a few minutes to rest and relax.
You can go to your hotel and rest after Dr. Leyla Kandur (Celikol) examines you once again.
Your eye may become sensitive to light in the first 4-6 hours after the operation. Blurred vision, lacrimation and red eye may occur. In the first night, burning, itching or stinging in your eye is normal. We will give you eye pads to be used in the first night. It is important that you do not rub your eyes for a few days, because this may lead to shifting of the lamella.
You will be examined again on the next day after the Lasik operation. Op.Dr. Leyla Kandur will give you information about the outcome and inform you the new dose of your drugs when necessary. You will start to see very well even on the next day after the Lasik operation with a high probability and you will not feel any pain. After the examination it will be possible to see the extraordinary beauties of Istanbul without using glasses or contact lens. We recommend that you use cheaters on sunny and windy days.
You will be using eye drops for one week. These eye drops will prevent infection and accelerate the healing of your eyes. Generally, you will continue your daily activities on the next day after the operation. The important point is that you protect your eyes in the first weeks. You can start sportive activities which may lead to eye injury one month after the operation. You are not allowed to swim for one month after the operation; please be careful about this. We will give you a detailed information leaflet which includes the list of all activities and the time when you can start these activities.
